Jurisdiction Notes

Tampa's stormwater program is closely tied to Tampa Bay estuary restoration efforts. The city's flat terrain and high water table favor wet detention ponds as the primary BMP. SWFWMD ERP and City permits are both required for most development projects.

Remember: These local requirements are in addition to the FDEP state construction permit. Both must be satisfied before breaking ground.
